Animal Crossing fans can rejoice! Animal Crossing: Festival is coming to life for the Wii U on November 13 alongside select Animal Crossing amiibo figures. amiibo figures are the stars in this game as opposed to a traditional character selection. Luckily for those strapped for cash, siblings Isabelle and Digby amiibo figures, and 3 special variants of amiibo cards will be included with the this Wii U party title, as shown in the box art.Fan favorite villagers such as Mabel and Tom Nook are sold as standalone amiibo figures, with Reese, Cyrus and K.K. as a 3-pack set. Lastly, Lottie, who was introduced in the latest Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will launch on November 22.Japan has already confirmed the release dates for new amiibo villagers including: Blathers, Celeste, Kicks, and Mr. Resetti. Although there isn’t word on a North American release date for these villagers yet.
This upcoming Wii U title also differs from traditional Animal Crossing titles as it follows a board game adventure up to four players, similar to the likes of the Mario Party series. Instead of playing as the Villager, you have the choice of playing as any of the Animal Crossing amiibo characters. There are various game modes and seasons. As cheerful as the Animal Crossing universe is, the happiest player wins which will surely make the player win. In other words, happy points are the prevailing currency in this game as opposed to coins or stars.
Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival is sold at a suggested retail price of $59.99 and includes Isabelle and Digby as amiibo figures, alongside three special variant amiibo cards previously announced as Stitches, Goldie and Rosie. For those who are still trying to complete their collection, November 13 is also the date for the next Animal Crossing: Card Trading event at the Nintendo World Store.
