The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is set for March 4 at a suggested retail price of $59.99. It is bundled with a Wolf Link amiibo.
Fans should note that the Wolf Link amiibo will not be sold separately. This amiibo unlocks a new bonus dungeon called the Cave of Shadows.
After clearing the dungeon, a unique feature appears where players can save their remaining hearts to the Wolf Link amiibo, and then use those hearts inside the Cave of Shadows to replenish life energy. Players also have the option of saving their remaining hearts to the amiibo and attempt to beat their score at any time. A preview bonus is that the data saved on the Wolf Link amiibo could be used with the upcoming highly anticipated Legend of Zelda for Wii U, launching sometime this year.
The Wolf Link amiibo will not be the only compatible figure. Zelda related amiibo from the Super Smash Bros series such as Link, Toon Link, Zelda, Sheik and Ganondorf will also work with Twilight Princess HD with different features. Similar to the costume features (wc) used in Tri Force Heroes, players replenish their arrows with Link or Toon Link, Zelda and Sheik refills hearts while Ganondorf actually makes Link take double damage–which players might desire for a bigger challenge.
