Nintendo will be present at PAX West 2016 with a booth (South Hall # 2335) and an Indie Lounge. Expect their lineup to include titles for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS ranging from a photo booth with Pokémon Sun and Moon and playable demos like Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and YO-KAI WATCH 2. Nintendo’s booth will also have displays of upcoming amiibo figures the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition that launches November 11.
Nintendo’s second booth in Room 612 is dedicated to their Nindie partners showcasing more playable demos such as Punch Club (tiny Build Games), Runbow Pocket (13AM Games), Severed (Drinkbox Studios) and World to the West (Rain Games). Developers will be there to demonstrate their games and answer questions, and giveaway free swag. Indie Lounge will be open from 12-9 p.m. Friday to Sunday, and 12-6 p.m. on Monday.
“PAX West gives Nintendo a great opportunity to showcase both mainstream and Nindie titles to a video game savvy audience,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Having the show essentially in Nintendo’s backyard and getting a chance to connect with our fans makes it all the more special for us.”
Additionally, there will be a Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past Developer Discussion. The producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto at Square Enix will host a game-focused developer discussion at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 at the Hydra Theater.
PAX West kicks off today September 2 and continues through this weekend at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle
