Nintendo’s anticipated Splatoon 2 Global Testfire begins March 24-26

The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire demo is free to try and will only run for a limited time each day through March 24-26. This demo is available for download from the Nintendo Switch eShop. Although the demo is not playable as of yet, downloading early can prevent any technical issues when the demo goes live today, starting with Friday at 12 pm PT or 3 pm ET.

Being that Splatoon 2 will be available on the Nintendo Switch, the game will be controlled using the Game Pad attached with Joy-Cons or the Switch Pro Controller—which supports motion aiming.  The Switch’s Capture feature will be enabled for players to take screenshots and share them on social media. This demo will feature two stages: The Reef and Musselforge Fitness and Barnacle Sports Club, and new weapons such as the Splat Dualies and remixed Splat Roller and Splat Charger.

Splatoon 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year and is set to launch this summer of 2017. Similarly to the original Splatoon and it’s testfire, these are essentially beta trials and allows Nintendo to test its servers for the game to ensure it runs smoothly once it’s released to the public. This title will be compatible with previously released Splatoon series amiibo. Ideally, with the Nintendo Switch online app, players will be able to play with their friends directly in the game and communicate through voice chat.
